Drawing your line in the sand is simply making a decision, from your heart, that you will not allow anything or anyone to move you away from it. When based on the Word of God it becomes an ‘all in’ commitment. It is a permanent and irreversible decision of the heart.

Throughout His Word, God beckons His followers to live by faith. The Lord provides ample direction in His Word, yet there are times when it makes no sense at all. What is one to do when the Bible is clear yet what it asks of us seems foolish? Today, consider the example of a faithful follower of God who followed irrational instructions. We can apply the same principles used in this life of unwavering faith and realize a promise that has been preserved for eternity.

Your eternal life in Jesus is not just a one time profession, but ongoing, daily pursuit, a pursuit that will be challenged. Fight the good fight.

Jesus told his followers to prepare to experience intense persecution because of their faith in Him. In the face of such tribulation, Jesus predicted that many of His followers would turn away, even turn against each other. What Jesus told his closest companions still applies to followers of Christ today. Today’s message speaks to how Christian can resist turning away from Jesus, and even turning on each other, when their faith is tested to its limit.

We might wonder, where are you Lord? God can perform signs and wonders, but we do not need them to stand firm. The Lord Himself gave us a sign. God with us.

For what do we labor? Most of the work we do in this life doesn’t last long. We strive to build little kingdoms in our corner of the world, but even a stone castle can be torn down by the next kingdom builder that comes along. How much better would it be if we focus more of our time and effort on “building projects” that last for eternity!? Join pastor Rob Susan as he compares building our own tiny kingdom to laboring for the eternal Kingdom of God.

Stay the course, be firm in the faith, and be builders who are not building in vain. Do not disparage the cross of Christ and receive God's grace in vain.

Many country songs resonate with listeners because they are birthed from the trials and tribulations of life. Scripture contains songs that in our day we might call country songs. They brim with real life, and from them we can find application today. One such song was penned by man whose life was marked by affliction and bitterness and in it he expressed hopelessness. Yet his song continued, declaring how he found hope. In your worst affliction you too can find hope if you take time to learn from Scripture’s country song.

The Scripture gives us a road map of what a believer ought to do in time of trouble. The widow took her burden to the man of God, and exercised great faith to obey God's word. She understood that God is in control of everything and all he needs is just empty vessels for His marvelous hand to manifest the miraculous.
